hanks for your interest in the A. Lewis Manufacturing Company. We produce the highest quality Embossed Wood Moulding, Turned Rope Moulding, Rosettes, Cut Dentil Moulding and Rough Cut Dowels. Embossed designs are deeply cut into the wood of your choice, using vintage hand- tooled dies.

All products are manufactured to order using most available kiln-dried cabinet woods. We offer custom and contract services, "just in time" delivery and excellent lead times. 

General information
To better serve our customers -- and because of the endless possibilities of sizes, profiles, woods and patterns -- all of our products are manufactured to order. The items presented here on our web site are many of the most commonly requested. However, other sizes, radius, shapes and combinations of designs are also available. If you are unable to locate a pattern or profile here to meet your specifications, please contact us.

A Few Specifics...
Rosettes are offered up to 4½ diameters, using 25+ in-stock cutters. Turned Rope Mouldings are available in full, half round and reverse cut, deeply carved and well finished. Cut Dentil Mouldings are offered in 10 styles and a variety of sizes.

Woods
Most of our 165 patterns may be embossed in commonly used kiln dried cabinet woods. The most popular woods are soft maple, poplar, red/white oak, cherry, walnut, mahogany, basswood, alder and white pine. While only the highest quality grades of lumber are used in our products, the presence of natural defects in the wood is determined by commonly used industry standards. Products are supplied in random lengths 5-14 feet unless otherwise specified.

Stocking and Pricing
Each order is run to exact specifications. Because of the endless possibilities of sizes, woods, patterns and combinations of patterns, production quantities are not kept in stock. For the same reason, we do not offer a price list and quote only upon application. Contact us by fax, phone, mail or email and we will respond with cost and approximate lead time in a timely manner.

Contract production
We are happy to emboss any of our designs on dimensioned wood provided to us on a per foot basis. Many of our customers create thousands of feet of offal. We are happy to apply our value added service, turning scrap into usable, marketable product.
